A message from me, Judy: 

I was born on this magical island, Terceira, and life took mom and I to Toronto, where I lived most of my years — always with a soft, sacred spot in my heart for the Azores.

After years of dreaming, we returned home.

And now, we wake up every day, sharing a beautiful home together, in awe of this land’s beauty, peace, and deep, ancient energy.

Our three-bedroom home is alive with warmth and stories. My mom and a close friend live here year-round and we've spent a lifetime hosting travelers and making beautiful friendships.

Mom loves meeting new people and sharing the magic of Terceira—its hidden beaches, local traditions, and island secrets only locals know.

I travel quite a bit, and it's during those times when our third bedroom is ready for you. Come as a guest, leave as a friend. Perfect for a traveler seeking authentic connection, genuine hospitality, and a true taste of Azorean life.

Porto Martins, in Terceira Islands, is a calm and special place. Enjoy swimming or diving in crystal clear waters, going for a walk on the boardwalk by the seashore or surfing great waves. 

 

A great location, just a quick 10 minutes from Praia da Vitória City and 20 minutes from the World Heritage City of Angra do Heroísmo by car. 

We live on the main floor of a beautiful home, with private parking and phenomenal neighbours.

Shared Living Space
Our living room is a bright, spacious haven filled with lush green plants and the warmth of natural light. In the mornings, the south-facing double sliding doors open to the outside, where you can sip your coffee as the sun pours in. By evening, golden sunsets stream through the west-facing window, filling the room with a gentle glow. There is a cozy sofa and large TV with cable for relaxing, reliable WiFi for staying connected, and even a designated corner for yoga and stretching to nurture body and spirit. This long, airy space at the far end of the house is where comfort, calm, and inspiration meet. We also have a roll away desk which is perfect for working by that big south facing window!

Shared Kitchen
The kitchen is the heart of our home, spacious and full of light, with its own entrance leading directly to the backyard. It is fully equipped for anyone who loves to cook: quality knives, plenty of dishes and cutlery, a dishwasher for easy clean-up, and a washing machine tucked in for your laundry. We are mindful about what we use in our home, so you will find only glass containers for storage and stainless steel pans and pots—no toxic plastics here. With lots of counter and cupboard space, the kitchen invites both everyday meals and creative cooking sessions to be a joy.

🏡 Private Bedroom & ensuite

Your gorgeous room is a peaceful east-facing retreat, filled with morning sunshine and natural light throughout the day through the two ceiling to floor windows. It's comfortably furnished with a queen size bed, a desk for work or journaling, and simple touches that make it feel like home. There is also an ensuite washroom, equipped with a shower and bidet, offering both comfort and privacy.

You'll be sharing the home with my mom, who is passionate about the island and loves to be out exploring its beauty—whether walking the boardwalks, discovering hidden corners, or joining in on local festivals.
She carries a positive, loving energy that makes her a joy to be around, while also deeply respecting personal space. 
We both share the same name: Judy. This is why everyone calls her "Mama Judy". She's a nurturing, loving "mama" kinda energy! You'll feel it once you meet her!
